About Me
I love to roller skate, I have a blog, I used to be really mature and responsible but lately I just want to play. I want to figure out how to earn a living having fun. I'm tired of being serious.
I have a master's degree and I wrote a book titled From Sabotage to Success. I know a lot about sabotage...trust me. I also know enough about success to have risen from a life of homelessness and heroin addiction to one of stability and accomplishment but there is a big part of me that feels like its time to take another leap.
I teach at community college and I like it. I run a website/message boards called Donate Your Weight. I also wrote a book and produce a podcast with the same title. I want to join with other women who want to have fun, enjoy life and love their bodies again (can you remember? Waaaaay back). That's it for now. Ciao.

One Phone Call Saved Me $40
Part of how I got in debt was avoidance.
I would get a bill, put it on a pile and ignore it. Eventually, I would get another one.
I paid my bills like a zombie, trying to pretend I wasn't spending money or that I had more than I did.
Well, today I made a phone call. I had a bill that I thought was a duplicate and I didn't want to pay a bill that wasn't mine (in the past...sad to say...I would have paid it just to not have to deal with making a call or sounding "cheap.")

I'm not here to play the "I am a millionaire" game.
Okay, I'm exaggerating. But what I'm saying is, here's my pattern: I join groups, I seem like I've got my "sh#&" together, people assume that to be true and I don't tell 'em any different.
Sometimes, they ask me for help and advice or to join or head a committee. I like to feel important and smart just like anyone else so I say what's on my mind and hope it makes sense. Some people like my ideas. I keep my fingers crossed hoping they don'… Continue
