Having an Oscar, Award or Movie themed party is always popular with guests, but putting it together might be a little more challenging. Here are some ideas and products you can use to put together a fun party.

The Theme: There are different themes you can do to make your Oscar Party stand out. Here are a few to get you started:
Have a "You are the Star" Party. This is where all your guests get the star treatment. Put their names on Walk of Fame stars as they arrive. Take pictures of each of your guests as they arrive and ask them crazy questions, just like the pre shows ;)

Have a "Stars from the Past" Party. This is a fun theme for the crowd that likes to dress up for the Oscars. You can even send a list of acotrs and actresses that your guests can choose from, once the party starts, you can play a game where you have to ask questions to each guests to figure out who they are. You can also have an award show for the different costumes.

Have a "Hollywood Movie" Theme. This is a party where all the decorations and food are based on a movie, like The Dark Knight, Casablanca, Star Wars, Indiana Jones just to give you ideas. You can do a theme based on a favorite movie too. Ask your guests to dress for the time period and if the film is in black and white, use black and white party paper and wear black and white clothes. The idea here to create a party that's fun for anyone.
