- Katherine Smith is formerly co-host of a morning radio and began a career in modeling at age seventeen. She is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. Kat attended high school in Beaumont, Texas before residing in Dallas. At age 17, modeling and acting began a career in film, print, commercials, voice and print work which lead her to a four year syndicated morning radio show with ABC Radio Networks, Inc.
Initial employment in an administrative capacity in 1978, paved the way for positions with several Fortune 500 companies achieving an extensive back-ground in the areas of wholesale consumer fashion accessories and cosmetics sales and telecommunications products. This is her foundation for her strengths in business operations and marketing.
In 1996, Kat formed K.S. & Associates (KSA) to which she provided copy writing and marketing concept development. In 2001 she added publishing. As fate would have it, her resourcefulness and entrepreneurial spirit led her to dissolve KSA and launch her present company TomKat Productions.
In Kat’s career as a writer, her first article was published in the high school newspaper, and she went on to have work publish domestically and internationally for several magazine and newspapers. Katherine is the author of The Book Seller’s List, Publishing Step by Step and Love the Vicious Cycle. Most recently, she has released two books - The Naked Author-Exposing the Myths of Publishing, and I’m Tall You’re Not So That Makes Us Even (A short book about TALL women).
Kat is a member of groups and organizations including the Screen Actors Guild (SAG).
