I've been networking long before there was a term for it. It all started when I was only 22 years old and moved on an impulse to Austin, TX without a job or a place to live. I'm actually from Boston and grew up with a Sassy attitude that made me believe that I could find employment and live virtually anywhere. Well, that was back in 1989 and what I didn't know is how bad the local economy was in Austin when I moved there. At some point, I plan on writing a book called, "From Boston to Austin and Everywhere in Between". For the first 6 months, I had struggled to find a job in Austin and finally figured out that if I want to land a job, I'm going to have to find a connection to get in. It was then when I made the decision to tell everyone I meet what kind of position I was looking for and eventually, someone will know somone, who'll know someone who can help me. Within a couple of weeks, I landed a position that started a 13 year career in communications.
That seems like a lifetime ago. Now, I've developed a network of nearly 10,000 people coast to coast. I believe in giving first so please ask me how I can help you. You never know, I just might have a connection for you!
I'm currently writing a book called, "The S.A.S.S.Y. Networker" which should be released in the beginning of the year. I speak to a variety of audiences on networking and show others how to Attract More Referrals. You can learn more at
