Introducing myself: Becky Wright from Tahlequah/ Tulsa, Oklahoma (singer/songwriter, mom of 9!)

Hello, ladies here on the Heart Link Network! What a blessing I've found (and welcome friendships) from the ladies here! I have to thank Bob Getz for introducing me to Denai Vaughn, who invited me to join!

I am a mother of NINE through various means, haha! Four by birth, 3 stepchildren, and two NEW babies (ages 9 and 2) through adoption only TEN DAYS AGO!!! We are abundantly blessed! We thought we were finished having little ones of our own (our oldest five are grown, two still at home), then God surprised us with the news in November that these two "legal orphans" (from West Virginia) needed a good home... and the 9-yr-old is my cousin. They JUST arrived in our home on Feb. 26th!

Next to mothering, my faith in God also displays itself in His calling upon my life as a singer and songwriter, and speaker for various church and women's events, particularly. Ironically, much of my musical focus over the last five years has been in Adoption music, foster parenting, pro-life, orphan care, etc. I should have known that God was preparing ME (and our entire family) to BE and adoptive family!!!

I'd love for you to hear some of the music, and read more info. I live an hour east of Tulsa, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. (1994 Grad of Northeastern State Univ., Early Childhood Ed., Elementary Ed., and Family & Consumer Sciences.) I travel the country singing at churches, adoption events, retreats, Christian schools, and also teaching songwriting workshops. I've scaled back my touring for just a bit, but am actually looking to fill these dates, so let me know if you live in these areas and are interested! (I am very negotiable, and often only ask a love offering if I'll be in that area.)

Looking forward to getting to know more of you, and make more friends. I know that most of us feel isolated a great deal of the time, and that we're alone in the struggles we face (spouses/ relationships, children, financial issues, spiritual journeys, etc.), but the Heart Link Network is here (in part) to alleviate that pressure and dispel that myth! I'm thankful for its existence, and hope to be a blessing to many of YOU.
